Jr Learn To Sail Program

Description

Hull Yacht Club offers both morning and afternoon 2-week Learn to Sail sessions for children ages 7 – 13. This program provides children from Hull and surrounding communities a chance to try sailing at Hull Yacht Club with no requirement of being a Hull Yacht Club member.

We keep the classes small, just 15 children per session. Our Learn To Sailors will learn in the popular Optimist boat (or Opti). The Opti is a small, single-handed sailing dinghy intended for use by children up to the age of 15. Our Optis are owned and maintained by Hull Yacht Club and Sail Nantasket. They are ready to go and require no parental knowledge of sailing or sailboats. The boat is included in the price. We provide the boat and first class instruction with certified instructors in a safe and fun atmosphere. Our highly qualified instructors are US Sailing Level 1 Certified, CPR Certified, and have over 15 years combined teaching experience.

Your child(ren) may participate in Learn To Sail for a single season only, and may only sign up for 1 of our 3 sessions. If your child loves sailing after the introduction and wants to continue next year the Hull Yacht Club is reasonably priced and a great family club.
