Cruising

The Hull Yacht Club Cruising Committee has been meeting over the winter to organize cruising opportunities for members ranging from a weekend cruise to Provincetown to an overnight rendezvous at a Harbor Island. The committee hopes to foster a revival of casual cruising in the area, strengthen the club’s reciprocity relationships with other clubs and communicate all the great things HYC and Hull have to offer to visiting yachts. We hope that you cruise to new destinations, make new friends and enjoy boating.

For the cruising yacht, please come visit. The Hull Yacht Club located on Allerton Harbor just inside Hingham Bay on the southern approach to Boston Harbor, is a convenient layover point for boats transiting East or South. Nearby commuter boats offer service to Logan Airport and downtown Boston, allowing for easy crew changes. Groceries and laundry can be found nearby. We are a short walk from beautiful beaches and interesting historical sites.

The Hull Yacht Club participates in the Massachusetts Boating & Yacht Club Association (MBYCA) for benefits of reciprocity. There are 70+ local yacht clubs and boating organizations in the MBYCA, each with individual amenities and club privileges. Contact information and club amenities are listed on the MBYCA website. We are also members of the Yachting Club of America (YCA) with boating and yacht club membership across the country and up and down the Eastern Seaboard. Visit the "Members-Only" section on the YCA website and use the id: club1040 and pw: y100446c to log in.

Hull Yacht Club members must call a participating club in advance to confirm their reciprocity privileges and alert them to your visit. Members looking for reciprocal amenities at a club that is not affiliated with MBYCA or YCA may reach out to the Commodore for a letter to request such privileges. Only Full HYC Members may participate in reciprocity privileges from other clubs.

Amenities for Guests:

The Hull Yacht club provides clubhouse reciprocal amenities to participating club boaters, including showers and bathrooms, the use of the kitchen, porch, outdoor grills, and purchase of drinks at the bar. A launch service is also available; call channel 71 for assistance and visit our website for launch hours. If there is a private rental or club event, the facilities will be limited.

Reservations need to be made in advance to ensure mooring availability. If available, reciprocity will be granted for a maximum of seven days. Please call the Club Steward at 781-925-9739 for availability. A $50 donation per night to a local non-profit, Sail Nantasket, is recommended for overnight usage. The donation can be made by check through the Club Steward or directly on the Sail Nantasket website.

Reciprocal privileges are not intended to entitle guests unlimited use of club facilities. If a visiting boating member is not on a mooring, a limit of 7 days per season is permitted. Guests must call in advance, sign in with the Club Steward and register in the guestbook at the bar.
