Hingham Bay Racing Wednesday Night – Twilight Series

Beginning in May and running into September of each season, Hingham Bay Racing organizes Twilight Races on Wednesday Evenings. Twilight Races start in the vicinity of the Hingham Bay Starting Buoy (North of Sheep Island 42°17.3’ N 70°55.4’ W) and the season is broken up into three separately scored series of races: Spring Series, Summer Series, & Fall Series. The First Warning Signal times for these Series, respectively: 1830, 1830, 1815. Each Series has awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place as well as contributing towards the overall Hingham Bay Cup scoring. The boat with highest 10-race total points for Twilight Series of races is awarded the Hingham Bay Cup.

Hingham Bay Racing - Solstice Regatta 

Each season, Hingham Bay Racing organizes three weekend races: the Solstice Regatta, Circle the Lights Race, & the Chowder Cup. Hingham Bay Racing coordinates with Hingham Yacht Club, which hosts the Hitchcock Regatta, to score these races as a series, the winner of which receives the Hingham Bay Racing Governor’s Cup. This trophy is annually awarded to the boat with the highest overall points across 4 of the qualifying races.

In addition, each of these races are scored as Mass Bay Sailing Association - Qualifying Series Races.

Each race has its own format, start time and racing area so make sure to read the sailing instructions ahead of time!
